What is the difference between VRV and VRF?

VRV is a system that was developed and designed by Daikin Industries which¬† means “variable refrigerant volume”. Daikin industries have commercially protected the term VRV so other manufacturers now use the term VRF “variable refrigerant flow”. They both work the same way and are very efficient and reliable ways to heat and cool all kinds of building.

The refrigerant flow is accurately metered to provide the required heating or cooling loads thus by saving energy with the added benefit of providing more accurate temperature control.

They are currently the best systems available for mid to large scale heating and cooling applications.
